PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project aims to develop a method for navigation of dismounted forces without the use of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) to circumvent the risks (jamming, spoofing, signal blockage) associated with such systems.
OBJECTIVES/PRODUCTS
The goal of the project is to enhance the assertiveness and sustainability of armed forces, by:
- Enabling navigation in areas where Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals are unavailable, such as basements, underground railways, and tunnels.
- Mitigating the effects of GNSS disruption or manipulation by enemy forces in the electromagnetic spectrum.
- Ensuring blue force tracking in degraded environments even when GNSS is unavailable or compromised.
- Providing position data required for modern radios to set up and maintain mesh networks, even in the absence of GNSS.
